I am a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate. I hold a bachelor's degree in Creative Arts Therapy from The University of the Arts and a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from North Carolina Central University.
I utilize an integrated approach to therapy- meaning there is no "one size fits all." Some techniques that may be used include Person-Centered, Mindfulness, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapies. In essence, this integrative counseling approach strives to balance mindful awareness, a genuine and empathic relationship with the client, and a collaborative effort to identify what changes can be made to minimize emotional and behavioral disturbances.
I believe in providing a safe space for clients to explore their unique journey while feeling heard, respected, and accepted. I think we all have our strengths. Together we can discover and tap into those strengths to use them to your advantage!
